Account & billing

How Strumly accounts, the free tier, the week pass, and the Pro subscription work — including what's free during early access.

Last updated

Your account is a Suede account

Strumly doesn't have its own separate login. It uses the shared Suede account system: when you sign in, you're bounced to app.suedeai.ai, sign in once, and return to Strumly signed in. The same account works across every Suede product on suedeai.ai domains — one identity, one session.

That also means there's no Strumly-specific password to manage. Account-level concerns (email, password, sign-out everywhere) live with your Suede account.

What needs an account, and what doesn't

No account needed: the tuner, metronome, chord library, scales, strumming trainer, ear trainer, looper, backing tracks, transpose, songs, Amp Lab, Rig, Bench, the learning path, and all lessons and guides. Progress for these (streaks, path steps, quiz results) is stored locally in your browser.

Account needed: the AI coach. Coaching sessions, your profile, and your drill history are tied to your account and stored server-side — that's what lets the coach remember you across devices and sessions.

Pricing

During early access (now)

Every standalone tool is unlocked free: no pass required. The coach includes 3 focused sessions per calendar month, persistent practice memory, and measured drills. Pro is available now for $19.99/month for players who want up to 200 coached responses in each rolling 30-day period; the separate one-time toolkit pass is not available yet.

The current model

Strumly's pricing has three parts:

  • Free forever: the tuner, no sign-up required. The coach keeps a free tier of 3 sessions a month, with memory that carries over between sessions.
  • Week pass — $5.99, one time, not available yet: will unlock the full toolkit for 7 days. It will not be a subscription or auto-renew.
  • Pro — $19.99/month: up to 200 coached responses in each rolling 30-day period, session history and drill tracking, and every tool included (no separate pass needed).

Current details always live on the pricing page.

How the free coaching tier counts sessions

A session is consumed by your first real message in a conversation, not by the automatic greeting. A focused session stays open for up to two hours and includes up to eight coached responses; questions, submitted drill results, and the session-end summary share that boundary. Drill results do not consume another monthly session. The 3-session cap resets monthly. Your profile, proof history, and next assignment persist regardless of the cap; hitting a boundary never erases them.

All coaching is paced at up to 12 responses per hour and 20 per day. Pro raises the allowance to 200 responses in each rolling 30-day period. Failed or abandoned model attempts can reduce the available total because the same hard cost boundary protects every account.

Upgrading, managing, and canceling

Subscribe to Pro from the billing page. Pro is a $19.99 monthly subscription billed through Stripe. It renews automatically each month until you cancel. Cancellation is available through the Stripe customer portal, takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and leaves Pro available through that date.

Payments are not automatically refundable. For anything billing-related you can't do yourself — cancellation questions, a charge you don't recognize, or a refund request — use the contact page. Requests are reviewed case by case, and applicable non-waivable legal rights are preserved. Strumly is run by a small team (of one), which cuts both ways: no support-ticket bureaucracy, but responses come from a human on a human schedule.

Data

Your coaching data — profile, session summaries, drill scores — exists so the coach can do its job. Microphone audio from drills and the tuner is analyzed locally in your browser and is not uploaded; only drill scores are stored. For the formal details, read the privacy policy and terms.
